Several days ago I asked what game format you preferred for U12 games, 8 versus 8 or 11 versus 11. The survey was sent out over the TSFSI Twitter account, on the Troy Strawberry Festival Soccer Invitational Facebook Page. Most importantly, the teams that played at U11 last year and the teams that played at U10 two years ago received e-mails through the tournament site.

In total 18 people took the time to respond to the poll. Only five of the respondents preferred to play 11 v 11 at the U12 level. That's not a huge number of respondents, but given the focused nature of the poll - it's a pretty good turnout.

So what's this mean? Unfortunately, the results aren't entirely conclusive. Teams that have played in our tournament under the 8v8 format choose to continue to do so. No surprise there. It validates our approach, but if there's a large population of teams who aren't playing in our tournament who prefer the 11v11 game format - we've not captured their interests.

We have tried to understand the interests of our customers. To those of you who participated, thank you for doing so. We will continue to offer the 8v8 format. If you feel strongly about one format or the other, let me know. We will continue to listen to your input.
